I began a concept sketch for my "past" painting of Petria as the next in my series, but unfortunately at some point along the line she was bitten by a vampire and became somebody else entirely. Art does its own thing, sometimes.

In the beginning...

So many of the sketches I do come and go. They're never quite good enough to post on my deviantArt gallery or website... but it's a shame to only show them once and then watch them disappear.

At last, they can be given a home - with any luck, this will encourage me to do more experimental sketches, playing around with style and colour, and improving my skills of an artist ;)
